Pastor Durant and Boni Kreider have been ministering at Coastlands Community Church since November 2002. After 11 years of youth ministry at The Tabernacle Church in Laurel, MD, they sensed the call of God to the Chesapeake, VA area.
Durant, originally from Lancaster PA, and Boni, originally from Pensacola Fl, met at Elim Bible Institute in Lima, NY, where they both graduated with an emphasis on Pastoral Ministry. They were then married in May of 1991 and entered vocational ministry shortly thereafter.
Boni and Durant work as a team to minister in the church setting. Boni is a gifted worship leader and musician, as well as an anointed teacher and mentor. Durant’s primary gifting is exhortation/encouragement, which is often demonstrated in his style of preaching the word, while he also strongly emphasizes application of text.
Durant graduated from Regent University in 2008 with a Masters Degree in Pastoral Theology.  Boni also works as a corporate trainer for data analysts.
The Kreider’s have six adopted children from Bogota, Colombia. In 2005 Boni and Durant adopted the first four, Esperanza, Kristina, Diego and Catalina.  In 2007 they prayerfully added Alejandro and Boaz to the family.  Then in 2009 after many years of prayer, Gavin Levi was born into the family as a blessing from God.  As a family they enjoy traveling, camping and riding to the beach in the Jeep with the top down. Boni enjoys being a mom and shopping for the best deals on e-bay or Amazon and Durant refreshes himself in the garage fixing something or tinkering with a car or motorcycle.
Both Durant and Boni desire to pour into leaders and see them achieve their full, God given potential. They also aspire to facilitate the expansion of the Kingdom of God through church planting efforts both locally and around the world. Above all, they deeply desire to please God with all their hearts and to commit themselves to unconditional obedience to His will.
