CCC has participate in Serve the City for over a decade. During STC, we purpose to care for our neighbors in a unique way. We use tools to fix and build things, yet at the same time, God is using our life circumstances to build and shape us into the person He wants us to become. It's a win-win situation! This is what hundreds of volunteers experience as we swarm the neighborhoods of Chesapeake each year in June. We repair homes and serve people with physical needs in under-resourced areas of our city. We practice following Christ in His giving nature going into the neighborhood (He put on flesh and dwelt among us - see John 1). When we serve together, life opens up in a whole new way of connecting with God's family. It provides opportunities for powerful conversations and times of encouragement and processing life. Will you be a part of this movement to transform our community? Let's go to work (and let God work on us in the process)!
