What’s all this fuss about Emotional Health?!?!  I’m so glad you asked!

Jesus was asked in Matthew 22 what the greatest commandment was and his reply indicated that our vertical relationship with God was most important and our horizontal relationships with people were a close second.  Many people spend their whole life trying to get these two things right and they feel like failures because life’s too short to figure it all out without help.

This is where the church comes in.  We provide tools and resources such as Emotionally Healthy Spirituality (EHS) and Emotionally Healthy Relationships (EHR) to help disciples grow, and move forward in Christ.  This year we had about 80 people participate in EHS.  For some it was their 3rd or 4th time going through the material and the testimonies of transformation continue to roll in.  EHS is like the layers of an onion being peeled back as we become healthy and know God more intimately.  We peel off a layer and shed a tear.  We peel off another layer and shed another tear as the process continues to maturity.

Every one of us on the face of the earth have to deal with relationship challenges if we interact with other people.  So how do we leverage our spiritual health from EHS and let that overflow into our horizontal relationships with others?  We again learn to use tools that can help us grow in healthy, less stressful relationship with our fellow travelers on life’s journey.  Whether it is your marriage or kids, your family, your co-workers, neighbors or church, you will be given valuable knowledge and practical skills to enhance your relationships.

I encourage you to be a part of EHR which begins January 8th and start a new level of health for your relationships in 2018!  See you there!
