Here at CCC we believe in the power of God to change lives & communities.  We know that God has called us to GO for the sake of others in our community.   Learn about some of big events (below) or email our outreach director, Chris Alix: HERE

Chesapeake Area Shelter Team (C.A.S.T.)

Each winter our church serves as a Chesapeake Area Shelter Team to provide a place to sleep & meals for persons experiencing homelessness.

C.A.S.T. guests arrive each evening to our team of volunteers ready to serve!  We greet them with a kind smile, help them secure a spot to sleep, get a hot dinner and enjoy unique activities each evening.  This 7 days of ministry is a HUGE event and everyone is welcome and needed to serve our neighbors!

Harbour North Community

For over a decade our church has been investing relationship, man-hours & money into the Harbour North Community.  This summer we are partnered with The Church at Hampton Roads to provide a Summer Camp twice a week for kids & dinner.  We are working to serve the children during the COVID-19 virtual learning experience in Chesapeake for the first 9 weeks of school.

The weekly after-school program will resume on September 17th, 2020 at 4pm - See Chris Alix to get connected.

Serve the City

CCC has participate in Serve the City for over a decade. During STC, we purpose to care for our neighbors in a unique way. We use tools to fix and build things, yet at the same time, God is using our life circumstances to build and shape us into the person He wants us to become. It's a win-win situation! This is what hundreds of volunteers experience as we swarm the neighborhoods of Chesapeake each year in June. We repair homes and serve people with physical needs in under-resourced areas of our city. We practice following Christ in His giving nature going into the neighborhood (He put on flesh and dwelt among us - see John 1). When we serve together, life opens up  in a whole new way of connecting with God's family. It provides opportunities for powerful conversations and times of encouragement  and processing life.  Will you be a part of this movement to transform our community? Let's go to work (and let God work on us in the process)!
